Residents Network Event, Saturday 26th April at Space@Hillcrest Primary School 1-4pm
Subject: The Residents "Way Forward Event" Saturday 26th April at Space@Hillcrest Primary School 1-4pm
Dear all,
We’ve been working hard to pull the launch event together. We were unable to book the venues suggested at the planning meeting, however, we’ve managed to book Space@Hillcrest Primary School which is a fantastic venue! We have 2 large hall areas and there’s a gallery showing local artists work.
I’ve attached a PDF of the poster for the day and will be sending it by post to all members (once they come back from the printers). We’ve managed to book a wide range of organisations for the day including: The Neighbourhood Policing Team, ENE Homes, Connect Housing, IMPaCT, Archway, The Urban Biz and many more. We hope the event will be a chance for residents to find out what’s already going on in the area and future plans.
Of course one of the aims of the day is to find out what direction our members would like the Residents Network to head in and what our priorities should be for the future and of course recruiting more members in to the network.
Please email or phone us if you’re able to attend or help on the day – We’re hoping to have a large turn out so more pairs of hands would be fantastic!
Kind regards
Craig & Laura
New Website
Thought this might be a good way for us to share things. This site is set up as a blog, like the one we've been using on my allotment site which is called Toll Bar. The idea is that anyone can post anything, comment, add things or change the site around. Have a look at the Toll Bar site for some general ideas - we've used ours so far for recording correspondence, sharing recipes, discussing weeds and sharing links to other local organisations.
This is NOT a substitute for meeting - bear in mind that not everyone has internet access - but it is a place to share things and maybe have some fun.
Any problems at all just e-mail Alice (I'll do basic admin here until others offer to help).
Enjoy!
